Gymnastics can help you build amazing full-body strength. The majority of gymnasts don’t use traditional bodybuilding exercises. Yet, if they look at their bodies you will see that they are extremely toned. Many of these guys train using only bodyweight exercises, which is a good thing.
So, how can you make your muscles so strong and muscular by not using weight lifting? To build muscle, you don’t have to lift a lot of weight. Instead, you can alter the way the body lifts weight Rückengymnastik Übungen.
One of these exercises is the ironcross. If you don’t understand what it means, look it up…it’s a very well-known gymnastics move. This exercise does not require weight. However, it’s extremely hard and requires years of training. It’s possible to do it.
To me, building muscle in the same manner a gymnast does it is superior to that of a bodybuilder. Bodybuilders are essentially building muscle for their appearance and not for functional purposes. Bodybuilding exercises are usually done in a manner that allows you to do most of your stabilizing work. Furthermore, the exercises are focused on specific muscles. As such, you won’t be able to use all the stabilizing muscles that you would in real life when lifting heavy items or when playing sport.
Consider it this way: Can a bodybuilder that can bench press 300 lbs get close to an iron cross? Can they do a planche pullup (look this up if it’s not clear)? The answer to that question is no.
Contrary, gymnasts that can perform these movements and have never lifted any weight (or if they don’t exercise with weights regularly) have shown remarkable feats of strength when performing bodybuilding exercises.
Strength gymnasts have a strength that is unmatched. The average person will not appreciate it until they do the exercises. To be able achieve a gymnastics rings routine, you need to have a lot of strength and practice. If you’re interested in getting into this type, you’ll see what I mean when you do these exercises. And then, you’ll be amazed at how well a world class gymnast can do them.
I hope this gives you enough information on the extraordinary benefits and power gymnastics exercises have.
I will certainly be writing articles on actual gymnastics movements in the future. Keep checking back often!
